Predict, Prevent, Personalize: Medicine Reimagined Through AI

The FDA has approved more than 1,200 AI algorithms for healthcare, and zero of them rely on large language models. Dr. Theodore Zanos of Northwell Health presents what predictive AI, clinical wearables, and bioelectronic medicine are actually delivering inside one of the largest health systems in the United States, in a session hosted by Gil Bashe of FINN Partners. The session spans Northwell Health's three-step approach to in-hospital deterioration prediction, where AI-enabled wearables provide an average 17-hour advance warning, a nurse staffing model that combines demand forecasting with attrition prediction to deliver an estimated 10 million dollars in annual savings from just 10 units, and the construction of the most detailed human vagus nerve digital twin in existence using more than 200 terabytes of imaging data, opening the door to truly personalized bioelectronic therapies.
