Asia-Pacific stocks rise; mainland China markets remain closed for Lunar New Year holiday

SINGAPORE — Stocks in Asia-Pacific rose in Tuesday morning trade as markets in mainland China remain closed for the Lunar New Year holiday.In Japan, the Nikkei 225 advanced 0.74% in early trade while the Topix index gained 0.43%.
