The Corporate Responsibility Initiative (CRI) at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government (M-RCBG) is a multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder program that seeks to study and enhance the public contributions of private enterprise. Through its two primary workstreams of Governance & Accountability and Business & International Development, it explores the intersection of corporate responsibility, corporate governance, public policy, and international development. It bridges theory and practice, builds leadership skills, and supports constructive dialogue and collaboration among business, government, civil society and academics.
CRI engages with and draws upon the expertise of other parts of Harvard University, in particular the Business School, the Law School, and School of Public Health. Within the Kennedy School, the CRI works closely with the Center for Public Leadership’s Initiative for Responsible Investment (IRI). The Initiative also works with other leading CSR organizations, government bodies, non-governmental organizations and companies to leverage innovative policy research and examples of good practice in this field.
CRI is proud to work closely with Shift, the independent, non-profit center for business and human rights practice that helps governments, businesses and their stakeholders put the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights into practice.
