Gediz Karaca is the CEO of Odqa Renewable Energy Technologies Limited which is a venture-backed engineering spinout developing the cheapest on-demand solar power from the University of Oxford. He has 8 years of mega-project construction management experience and has led the development of over $1bn of assets including the development of complex engineering projects such as water supply systems, subway stations, skyscrapers, and bridges. He is a civil and geological engineer by training and holds an MSc in Construction Engineering Management from Bogazici University and an MBA degree from the University of Oxford's Said Business School.

Odqa Renewable Energy Technologies, a venture-backed engineering spin-out from the University of Oxford, is developing a new solar thermal system by applying aerospace technology to build a state-of-the-art solar receiver. Through this innovative design, the Odqa system is nearly 50% more efficient compared to current commercially available systems and enables carbon free combustion level temperatures for industrial processes and electricity production cycles.
