Katie Nielson is the Founder & Chief Education Officer of Voxy EnGen. Voxy EnGen is a skills-focused, virtual English language learning platform for organizations and employers working with immigrants, refugees, and speakers of other languages. Katie earned her PhD in SLA from the University of Maryland in 2013 and she authored ten patents on the technology EnGen uses to deliver personalized English instruction at scale. She has dedicated her career to making language learning more accessible and effective using innovative technology and research-based best practices.
