Preston James is the co-founder and CEO of DivInc. Preston is a mentor, startup advisor/consultant, investor and evangelist for tech startups!
Preston's passion is working with/for innovative and disruptive startups that are looking to drive smart growth, or pivot or just need a jumpstart to growth.
At DivInc, Preston and his team transform the existing entrepreneur tech ecosystem into a more authentically inclusive environment. Through these efforts, Preston and the DivInc team inspire, empower and enable underrepresented founders to build successful high growth businesses, aiming at unleashing the untapped and hidden innovative talent within our communities and generating an entrepreneur mindset shift for generations to come.
A former 20-year veteran at Dell where he served in executive leadership roles in Enterprise IT Sales and Consulting where he led teams responsible for driving $250M+ in revenues. He also served as the Managing Director for the Dell Global Center for Entrepreneurship, where he oversaw the $100M Dell Credit Fund.
During this years in the technology sector, mostly in IT technology sales/consulting, Preston has accumulated strong global business experience across several verticals such Healthcare, Education, Government (Federal and State), Small & Medium Business and Fortune 500.
Preston earned his Bachelor’s of Science and Engineering degree at Howard University, in Washington, DC.

We are focused on early stage tech founders. To execute our mission successfully we must be laser focused on building the programs and infrastructure that remove any and all barriers for underrepresented founders to enable them to build investable tech startup companies.
