The bodies that connect the world’s markets
International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) — IOSCO is the international body of securities market regulators, established in 1983 and headquartered in Madrid, that develops and promotes standards for securities regulation across its member jurisdictions.
World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) — The World Federation of Exchanges is the global industry association for exchanges and clearing houses, founded in 1961 and based in London, and publishes market statistics including data on listings and IPOs.
Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) — FESE is the Brussels-based association representing European securities exchanges operating equities, bonds, derivatives, and commodities markets across more than 30 countries.
United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative — The SSE Initiative is a UN partnership programme organized by UNCTAD, the UN Global Compact, UNEP FI, and the PRI through which stock exchanges work with investors, companies, and regulators on ESG disclosure and sustainable finance.
Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM) — The Arab Federation of Capital Markets, established in 1978 as the Arab Federation of Exchanges and renamed in 2021, is the Beirut-headquartered industry association for stock exchanges and clearing houses in the Arab region.
African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) — ASEA is the association of securities exchanges in Africa, established in 1993 and headquartered in Nairobi, representing member exchanges across the continent.
Asian and Oceanian Stock Exchanges Federation (AOSEF) — AOSEF is a federation of stock exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region, formally established in 1990, that facilitates information exchange and cooperation among its member exchanges.
