Russia’s Nauka science module docks with ISS

Russia’s Nauka multipurpose laboratory module successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday, the Russian space agency Roscosmos said. Roscosmos released images of the module, which is named after the Russian word for “science,” and added that it docked at 13:29 UTC. It launched last week from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan after almost two decades of technical and other setbacks. What will Nauka do? The 20-tonne Nauka module will be primarily used for research and storing laboratory equipment.
