Lime Cross Nursery is a business that Alan and Olive founded in 1946 and is based in Herstmonceux, Hailsham. The plant lines changed to container-grown conifers, trees and shrubs, which were sold to the UK retail and wholesale market as well as internationally.
Jonathan, the son of Alan and Olive, joined the company in the 1970s after working at a number of nurseries and taking a trip through Europe with his friends. Jonathan developed a passion for propagating and collecting conifers, he experimented with different grafting techniques and quickly became known as an expert.
