IN THE BEGINNING
Perini Navi was founded in Viareggio in 1983 when Fabio Perini launched a prototype sailing yacht with ample living space that could be sailed with a reduced crew. That vision grew into the most successful fleet of large bluewater cruisers in the world. He then expanded his operations by acquiring the Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia, a pioneering builder of luxury motor vessels, followed by the Yildiz yard in Tuzla, Istanbul.
ONE BRAND, ONE COMPANY
In May 2017, Fabio Perini opened the share capital of Perini Navi to a new investor. The entry of Fenix Srl, the holding company of the Tabacchi family in Italy, paved the way for new developments on a strategic level. In order to grow the status and leadership of Perini Navi in both the power and sailing superyacht segments, the group’s two brands were merged into one. The motor yachts, previously built under the Picchiotti name, are now sold, built and sailed under the same Perini Navi logo as their sister sailing yachts.
THREE PRODUCTION AND SERVICE SITES
Perini Navi yachts are built in three facilities: in Viareggio and La Spezia, Italy, and in Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey. These three state-of-the-art facilities have become synonyms for quality and seaworthiness, able to provide the high level of service and maintenance that is expected from the Perini Navi brand. Last but not least, Perini Navi USA in Newport, Rhode Island, is dedicated to brokerage and charter services for Perini Navi yachts, with the aim of providing a seamless point of contact for clients.
