From 1992 to 2000, she worked as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of India in Delhi, India. She immigrated to Canada after that, obtained a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee of Accreditation there, and in November 2004 the Law Society of Upper Canada called her to the bar. She has since worked as a lawyer in Mississauga, Canada, specialising in immigration and real estate.
