About

For foreign workers residing in Canada, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a sort of application for permanent residence. The candidate must have at least one year of recent, full-time, skilled job experience in Canada to be eligible for this category. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate language skills in either English or French that are appropriate for their level of work experience. In order to apply under the CEC, one must first register through the Express Entry system and then wait to receive an invitation.

This programme excludes self-employment and job experience acquired while enrolled as a full-time student (such as a co-op work period). Only job experience acquired after students have finished their term of study can be considered
