Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,330M)

• Take the day to reach Kathmandu, a bustling capital city offering a unique trekking experience. With its colorful streets filled with shops selling trekking gear and cafes nestled against the backdrop of high mountains, Kathmandu sets the stage for your adventure. Currency exchange is recommended as cash is the primary mode of payment in the trekking areas.

Day 2: Kathmandu (1,330M) to Lukla (2,860M) to Phakding (2,652M)

• Duration: 35 min (flight to Lukla) + 3 hours (trek to Phakding)
• Distance: 7 km trek
• Start with a scenic flight to Lukla, offering exquisite views of Nepal’s landscape. Begin trekking from Lukla to Phakding, crossing cobbled stone paths and entering forests. Pass through picturesque villages and prayer-inscribed rocks before reaching Phakding for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Phakding (2,652M) to Namche Bazaar (3,440M)

• Duration: 6-7 hours
• Distance: 11 km
• Trek alongside Dudh Kosi River, crossing high suspension bridges. Pass through Monjo village and enter Sagarmatha National Park. Ascend through dense forests to Jorsalle village before reaching Namche Bazaar, the trade capital of the region, for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Namche (3,440M) to Tengboche (3,860M)

• Duration: 6-7 hours
• Distance: 10-11 km
• Trek from Namche, passing by Thamserku peak and Ama Dablam mountain. Visit Tenzin Norgay’s chorten and continue through ascents and descents to Tengboche, known for its monastery and scenic views.

Day 5: Tengboche (3,860M) to Dingboche (4,410M)

• Duration: 5-6 hours
• Trek through birch and rhododendron forests to Pangboche village. Enjoy views of Ama Dablam and other peaks before reaching Dingboche for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Acclimatization day at Dingboche (4,410M)

• Rest and acclimatize to the altitude, with optional hikes for views of Mount Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.

Day 7: Dingboche (4,410M) to Dughla/Thukla (4,620M)

• Duration: 3 hours
• Distance: 5 km
• Trek to Dughla/Thukla, enjoying views of Mount Pumori and a glacial lake along the way.

Day 8: Dughla/Thukla (4,620M) to Lobuche (4,940M)

• Duration: 3.5 hours
• Ascend to Dughla Pass/Thukla Pass before trekking to Lobuche, passing memorials of mountaineers.

Day 9: Lobuche (4,940M) to Gorakshep (5,164M) to EBC (5,364M) and back to Gorakshep

• Duration: 7 – 8 hours
• Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep, witnessing views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding peaks. Return to Gorakshep for overnight stay.

Day 10: Gorakshep (5,164M) to Kala Patthar (5,644M) to Pheriche (4, 371M)

• Duration: 7 – 8 hours
• Trek to Kala Patthar for panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks before descending to Pheriche.

Day 11: Pheriche (5,644M) to Namche Bazaar (3,440M)

• Moderate trek back to Namche Bazaar, enjoying the landscape along the way.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar (3,440M) to Lukla (2,860M)

• Trek back to Lukla, enjoying the familiar trails and scenery.

Day 13: Lukla (2,860M) to Kathmandu (1,330M)

• Fly back to Kathmandu, enjoying aerial views of Nepal.

Day 14: Departure

• Check-out and departure from Kathmandu, with optional airport drop-off arrangements available.
