As you ascend to an altitude of 4575m, be prepared to be awestruck by the panoramic views from Buran Pass. This breathtaking vista is one of the best you can find in the Himalayas. However, the descent from the pass can be a bit technical and may require the use of ropes.

Buran Ghati Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Shimla to Janglik (2804 M)

• Scenic drive (8-9 hours) along the Pabbar River through mixed forests and charming villages.
• Enjoy views of traditional homes and step fields.

Day 2: Janglik to Dayara (3366 M)

• Moderate climb (5-6 hours) through forests, offering breathtaking valley views.
• Overnight camping in Dayara.

Day 3: Dayara to Litham (3533 M)

• Enjoy sunrise and meadows on the way to Gunas Pass.
• Cross streams and witness the Dhauladhar range.
• Camp amidst stunning scenery at Litham, with Chandranahan waterfalls nearby.

Day 4: Litham to Chandranahan Lakes (4029 M) & Back

• Exciting hike (5-6 hours) to a beautiful glacial lake with mountain views.
• Acclimatization for the upcoming trek.

Day 5: Litham to Dunda (4025 M)

• Follow the Pabbar River through Khubrini Thach.
• Ascend steeply through boulders to Dunda Thach, nestled at the pass’s foot.

Day 6: Dunda to Manerang (3338 M) via Buran Pass (4575 M)

• Challenging climb (9-10 hours) with breathtaking panoramas.
• Descend via a steep drop and snowfield on the other side of the pass.
• Camp by the river and prepare for tomorrow’s descent.

Day 7: Manerang to Barua (2510 M) & Shimla

• Descend through a valley and cross a stream.
• Well-marked trail through grasslands and pine forests.
• Afternoon arrival at Kahrcham, followed by a scenic drive back to Shimla (ends Buran Ghati trek).

Day 8 (Buffer Day – Optional):

• In case of unforeseen circumstances, an extra day is built-in.
• Additional cost applies if utilized.
