Welcoming Manjula Lee, the Founder & CEO of World Wide Generation, at the 2022 Leading Entrepreneurs of the World Conference, on the topic:
The Fastest Way to Achieve Sustainability Peak Performance in Your Organization

About Manjula Lee:

The youngest member to be selected for Shell’s executive leadership program in her early career in M&A and strategic partnerships in Australia. However, being faced with data indicating where the world was going to be by 2050, with diminishing oil resources and spiralling social ramifications, Manjula was compelled to pursue a career in social problem-solving in the not for profit sector.

From 2006 - 2015 she started her own practice advising NGOs such as Oxfam and Amnesty International on strategic partnerships and high impact initiatives and was as at the forefront of pioneering the CSR and PPP movement. She was Head of Philanthropy for Habitat for Humanity with an international portfolio of UHNWs, family offices and corporates and special advisor into the UN’s Global Partnerships Forum in New York for the MDG and SDG agenda.

It was through all this experience and a serendipitous conversation with Prince Charles that Manjula founded WWG in 2016. Since then WWG has been selected, incubated and backed by the British Government and the platform is being positioned as the UK’s global offering for fintech and sustainable development.

About World Wide Generation:

As well as developing breakthrough systems, we also exist to help people align with their true purpose and innovate from within. Our purpose is to help people discover what they have to give. We believe the world works best when people organise their power to make space for others to flourish.

World Wide Generation (WWG) was the brainchild of Founder Manjula Lee. Initially, one person’s determination to create an organisation that would have no other agenda but to unite Government, Business, Civil society and Citizens for the delivery of the SDGs.

It was from great sorrow of seeing poverty, injustice and the effects of unsustainable systems first hand that Manjula, a mother of two children, wanted to find a way to mobilise change at a global scale.

Manjula was driven by a desire to see her children and all the marginalised people she met, live in a sustainable world.

WWG, through extensive research during 2016 and in an early attempt to be an impact fund manager, realised that the timescales of the process, the number of stakeholders to access and manage, and the lack of standardisation in monitoring and measuring financial and impact performance, made the lifecycle of an SDG investment TOO COMPLEX, LONG, EXPENSIVE, and impossible to EXECUTE.

This discovery was the EUREKA moment for Manjula to leverage the power of innovative technology and this is where WWG pivoted into a Fintech company and developed the G17Eco Platform. From 1 person in 2017, the team grew rapidly, as more and more people and partners started bringing their experience, talent and network to the World Wide Generation.

We now work with over 50 partners and have 15 distribution partners across the globe such as Hong Kong, US, Australasia, Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe.

This is what a small team united by purpose can achieve; imagine what we as a globally connected and united in purpose people can achieve!
