Sheremetyevo Airport Switches to Spring-Summer Flight Schedule

Sheremetyevo International Airport switched to the spring-summer flight schedule on March 28, and will remain on this schedule until October 30.
During the summer navigation period, airlines operating at Sheremetyevo are expected to increase the number of flights to popular tourist and business destinations and expand their route networks. Airlines plan to operate regular flights from Sheremetyevo on 90 routes (66 domestic and 24 international)* during the summer season.

In the upcoming spring-summer season, Aeroflot will operate flights on 69 routes, including 47 destinations in Russia and 22 in the CIS and non-CIS countries.

Over Half of German Citizens Ready to Be Vaccinated With Sputnik V, Poll Shows

More than a half of German citizens – 57 percent – have expressed readiness to be inoculated with Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus if it is approved for use in the European Union and Germany, a poll conducted by the Forsa institute for the RTL media group shows.
According to the pollster, the share of those ready to be vaccinated with Sputnik V in Germany stood at 45 percent in early February, Sputnik News reports.

Moody’s Changes Outlook for Russian Banking Sector to Stable

The international rating agency Moody’s has changed the forecast for the Russian banking sector for next 12-18 months from negative to stable, Vice President – Senior Credit Expert of the Agency Olga Ulyanova says on Wednesday.
“The forecast changes from negative to stable,” she says, TASS reports.

The forecast revision is based on improved macroeconomic situation in Russia, Ulyanova adds. Moody’s expects Russian GDP will grow by 2.3% in 2021 and by 2.1% in 2022 after the contraction by 3.1% in 2020. Growing oil prices act as a positive driver for this factor, she notes.

The European Medicines Agency has started a rolling review of Russia’s Sputnik V coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine, bne IntelliNews reports, citing the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
